But for eastern pundits, it is nothing but a natural process every person near the boundary of death undergoes, whatever his religious beliefs are or lack of them.

We had a very old neighbor who was undergoing kidney dialysis andphysical therapy (Dallas, Tx) and showed him an article about NDES. I thought he was going to laugh; instead he said he believes in it. What’s more, he also showed a similar article to a much elder lady who told him that she is already at peace and is “awaiting for the proper time”. Moreover, she said that her sisters (there were 3 girls in the family) who had died before her are “awaiting her” and ready to welcome her.

Maybe, this where faith comes if science cannot explain everything.
